FrontPage Interview’s guest today is Roozbeh Farahanipour, an Iranian journalist, democracy activist, former political prisoner in Iran and head of Marze Por Gohar Party (MPG), an Iranian opposition party seeking the establishment of a secular republic in Iran. He was a student leader in the 1999 uprising, just one year after creating MPG.

Reformists, the ever-present liability to the movement

As the new Iranian uprising continues to evolve, so have various facets of the movement's strategies and the nature of Islamic Republic itself. A government like the Islamic Republic, whose legitimacy is derived from God, does not need the people's approval to rule, as the most recent [s]election clearly demonstrated. When one is not concerned with being viewed as legitimate, one can implement all sorts of brutal and violent tactics against the population, such as beatings, rape, torture and executions without fear of repercussions as the last thirty years will attest to.

State Department: we support reformists

It seems the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has finally conceded that America was and in fact continues to support the “reformist” faction against the “hardliners.”

During an interview with CNN the Secretary of State said:

“So, we were doing a lot to really empower the protesters without getting in the way. And we’re continuing to speak out and support the opposition.”

MPG sources inside Iran and abroad successfully identified a member of the IRGC Mafia. URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Death penalty Requested

The court of Islamic republic has once again put up a tragic show to take the life of the children of Iran.
According to the court documents, the alleged defense attorney took the stand and claimed that he has never witnessed such criminals before. The criminals he is referring to –and suppose to defend -are the freedom seeking Iranians arrested in the non-violent protests.

Today the so called court requested death penalty for;

• Mohammad Reza Ali, Zamani, age 37, member of "Anjoman-e Padeshahi-e Iran"

• Arash , Rahmani Pour, age 20, member of "Anjoman-e Padeshahi-e Iran"

Charges Against Mr. Majid Saeeidi as set out by Prosecutor Mortazavi:
